IRISH BLUES PARTY WITH DUELING DOBROS

The Irish Blues Party was a unique and surprising mix of blues and Irish music with a few extra twists and turns.

Special guest "Irish" Des McGullycuddy delivered a stellar performance and charmed the house with his cool slide guitar stylings and mellow crooner vocals. While Tom Poole was more edgy on his dobro adding his rootsy n bluesy vocals, which offered a dynamic contrast. It turned into a match made in groovy heaven!

Once again we had a nice crowd with some local celebrities showing their support. Literary and television screenplay writer Harry Duffin was there with his literary wife Chris Duffin. Novelist Lesley Sharrock was spotting dancing up a storm and so was local entrepreneurs Millie Munro and Sue Coley.

Thank you's go out to Barry Hadley on bass and Natiel on drums. These cats really kept up their end of the rhythm  section.

All in all, the collaboration was smoking hot and exciting!! I have never heard anything like this pairing on this coast or any coast - before!!
