INTERVIEW

Q. How long have you been involved in music?
A. From 13 yrs old. Bought my first drum kit from my paper round money but was reposed when my paper round folded (ha ha).Bought a new one the following year and never looked back. Started gigging at 15 in West end of London, Soho, and then played the college circuit up and down the land and in between pubs and clubs.

Q. Have you always been into blues music or is this something new?
A. I have always liked the blues but started playing with a loud rock/blues band. The guitarist was blues influenced so it worked really well.

Q. What aspects of blues music is appealing to you - and do you have blues musician that you admire? Or another musician.
A. Funnily enough the blues don't give me the blues. It really lifts me, especialy piano and harp, what a combination. I like all the usual suspects, Robert Johnson, Leadbelly, Howlin Wolf as well as the newer musicians.

Q. How did you end up in Spain?
A. Bought a house here 21 years ago for holidays and moved here permanently 10 years ago.

Q, Do you have time for any other hobbies?
A. Sleeping, eating and music is just fine for now
