The sun was shining and the sky was blue at the Javea beach on the 12th of December, as we gathered to groove, boogie and lunched at Platino's.
The rootsy-blues, fun and entertaining Reverend Richard John was visiting with us once again. He is a road musician who travels up and down Spain, venturing forth from his cave dwelling in the south of Spain.
After a few ripping tunes, the Reverend invited another musician, whom he just met, to join him on stage. This musician turned out to be Stewart Collier from Javea.
During the break, we had some more fun with some local celebrities.
Then Denia author - Jana Petken - came up on stage and told us about her new book - THE GUARDIAN OF SECRETS. She was followed by yet another local author - Lesley Ann Sharrock telling us about her book - THE SEVENTH MAGPIE.
Veteran Costa Blanca reporter Benny Davis was there too and he interviewed the Reverend and took this fabulous photo that you see here - with his signature on it.
The food and drink at Platino's was great and the service with a smile - was wonderful. So, a big thank you to Debbie, Mick and the gang for making our LUNCH PARTY a really nice afternoon.
