I am so pleased that so many great folks came out to the CBBlues Coffee House event - namely Cross Roads - and launched the 2015 season with music, poetry, dance and art.

Tom Poole and Ray Wilcox did a fantastic job of hosting the event while I greeted the guests. Thank you to Carol Lynn for helping me with the raffle.

Tom Poole opened the event with a solo tune but was soon joined by some of the visiting musicians. Ray Wilcox gave a tribute to our friend Wilf Brown who is in hospital again. We wish him a speedy recover so he can join us for more blues.

Then it was a full-on Coffee House that lasted 30 minutes over the dedicated time. It wrapped up with a group session of the remaining musicians.

Then, except for a few, the majority of the guests joined us for a fabulous home-cooked meal in the restaurant part of Bar Mediterraneo adjacent to the performance room. The owner Luis spoiled us with some homemade wine and his wife Rocio bragged about her paella and really - it is the best in the whole area!! But, many of us had her fantastic fish soup as our starter :) yummy!!

It was a fantastic event with incredible people and talents of all types. It is a real dream come true.

Enjoy the photos and scroll down to get a taster of this January Cross Roads event on video.

Thank you to all - Karla Darocas, editor / publisher CBBlues.com - "Keep it Real"
