Under Costa Blanca blueness of open April skies, we were mesmerized by the fantastic views of Montgo mountain and the Benitachell church. Awe-inspiring. A photographic and breathtaking day filled with visions and vistas to behold.

The private villa idea turned out to be a wonderful solution to our growing numbers.

I was pleased that CBBlues fans turned up on-time and in record numbers, from all over!

They came from everywhere to adventure, relax, mix and mingle, eat, drink and enjoy the music created by some of the finest "dedicated  blues musicians" on this coast but from around the world... all together in a marvelous rural setting.

Ray, our host and chef, rocked it over at the BBQ pit and served up some fine hot food with the aid of his personal helpers on salads and drinks - namely - Ann, Kath and Jorge. It was a zone of total community cooperation and great aromas.

Then, at 14:15, I locked the gates to the villa and by 14:30, it was showtime!

Paul Tidiman (new music director at CBBlues ) decided to launch the CBBlues April Matinee with a slow and smooth bluesy number that got everyone's attention!

Then, in a showmanship tradition, he started to showcase and introduced us to an extravaganza of blues performers. Some we knew from past CBBlues socials but most were new to us and that was exciting.

Then of course, the dancing broke out as the mojo started to motive people to move. Tailbones were shaking everywhere under the bluest of blue skies.

All the musicians came together for a big finale and then it was time to pack it up!!

As I said - no word could really tell you about this event - but hopefully the video clip and photos will give you an idea. There were other photographers at this event and if you wish to share your photos, I would be happy to archive there on Webzine.

A real dream come true for me as I always thought it a good idea,
but would it come true? And yes! It did come true. So here's to celebrating and appreciating  blues music, right here in our backyard?!

It is also a joy to find out that your "villa host" is not only a loyal blues aficionado but an excellent Aussie chef ,who knows his way around a BBQ.

So - Thank you to Ray of Benitachell for the fabulous use of your villa and BBQ cooking skills. And of course, I must also thank Ray's wonderful helpers - Ann and Kathleen, who also prepared some rockin home-cooking desserts to die for.

Also - Thank you to my helpers - Bruce, Maureen, Philip and Frances for raffling with me. Always a big job that takes several helpers as I am learning. The shapely walks or short runs, depending on the raffle prize to be delivered.

Plus - Thank you for raffle donations of books, art, music and other gifts that help us to raise the money to pay top musical professionals to come and give us a good show!!

Of course - Thank you to my new music director - dedicated to his new position in the war to win over the blues with the word of the boogie! He is handling it like a pro! We are so lucky to have him as our music director. He knows how to bring to us an ace show. Yes!

Most of all - Thank you to the Subscribers who read the webzine, get the news and updates and ultimately share at events. It is your support that keep this mission on point: to build blues music appreciation, while improving social integration.

From start to finish, this April 2015 event was amazing!
I cannot even describe in words, other than it was spirit moving, in so many ways!!
The senses were filled with beautiful sights, sounds and smells.
It really felt like a real roots and blues music community - social experience - integration of all types. All one under the sun! Music and Fun!
