One of the top blues guitarist on the Valencian scene is Raúl Rabadán is originally from Barcelona where he was raised with a guitar playing brother who was all about rockabilly, rock n roll, soul and blues. Of course Raúl started a blues band in Barcelona called “Lookout!” but it wasn’t long before he found our harp playing friend Danny Boy Sánchez in Valencia and started to collaborate with him and hence moved to Valencia.

I was happy to catch up with Sarita Gee y Ramblin Matt at the Denia harbour on Sunday, 3rd of April. They delivered an 2 hour set full of rootsy blues numbers and some cross over folkster favourites.
I had some fun photographing them up against the crisscrossing sky walk for the ferry and other upward visions due to their stage elevation.

The Denia Food Truck Fest was a feast all around!
Report by Karla Darocas
The atmosphere was like something straight out of the book Alice in Wonderland. Within the confines of a roped off area beside the ferry docks, was a rectangular presentation of tiny trucks or more like "trailers" - each offering a surreal lunchtime surprise.
However, there was nothing imaginary about the food that was being dished out by all of these alternative treasures - magical meals on wheels.
We had a great time exploring and testing the treats. Our eyes feasting on the blue sky and sea. In the mid range were the views of crisscrossing architecture sky ramps belong to the ferry docks.
Mix up the setting with a mash of luxury yachts and liners docking next to some other associated sailing boats then add the proud Denia castle gracing the crest of the mountain with its grand eye over the festival. I think you get the idea.
And yes, I had my camera. I was not going to miss a photo opportunity such as this!!
I love Spain!
